Minimum three years experience and diagnostic experience.
Repair sector staff across all disciplines who have relevant diagnostic experience (to ensure familiarity with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to calibrate ADAS – Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), insurance engineers and educational staff who are preparing for undertaking the IMI accreditation for ADAS for BS10125 compliance.
The preparation day provides delegates with the necessary knowledge and an awareness of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and an insight into the required competencies for undertaking this accreditation.
- Definition of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
- Technical documentation that support decision making
- How the electrical architecture has enabled the evolvement of passive active safety systems
- The connection between screen, suspension, wheel alignment and body structure which drives the need for possible calibration after repairs
- Equipment required to facilitate calibration
- Calibration of 2 sensors in preparation of the accreditations practical and knowledge assessment
The course reflects all the practical competences required for the assessment day to ensure the best possible preparation for the IMI accreditation.
The assessment includes:
AOM 230 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) – Calibration, Calibration of 2 x sensors
Includes 1 x 1-hour online knowledge test with a minimum pass rate of 60%
