As an automotive research company with over 50 years of experience in the industry, we offer a unique and exciting opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in the field.
We believe that strong values are critical to our organisational success and for achieving a sense of belonging for all colleagues. Fearless, Inquisitive, Resourceful, Supportive and Trusted (FIRST) is the motto which underpins our shared business ethos. We believe this reflects how we go about our work and acts as a common philosophy that helps us to work better, together.
We prioritise building strong long-term relationships; we believe that fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and respect is key to building those relationships; and we work hard to make sure that all members of our team feel heard, supported, and valued. We encourage open communication, feedback, and ideas from all colleagues, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels empowered to do their best work.
At Thatcham Research, we value our employees and support them with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
Learning and Development
At Thatcham Research, Learning & Development (L&D) is critical to our long-standing purpose-driven culture, keeping our people engaged, challenged, and continuously growing throughout their career with us. We want to provide all our colleagues with access to a portfolio of development opportunities across multiple methods of delivery.
We base our current and future roadmap on external market L&D trends as well as discussion with our people, ensuring we understand how an individual’s own personal development goals link to our wider business plan.
Diversity and Inclusion
We place a high value on workplace culture. Last year, we initiated an annual diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) survey, helping us to establish a clear understanding of our organisational makeup and gain insight into how our colleagues feel about our culture and commitment to DE&I.
We received a great response and since the survey, we have arranged focus groups facilitated by an external diversity and inclusion specialist and have carried out audits on our recruitment processes. These activities have enabled us to gain a real understanding of what matters most to our colleagues and potential new recruits. We have used this feedback to shape our ongoing DE&I strategy as we continue to work closely with our colleagues to measure our success.
We are proud members of the Automotive 30% Club, a voluntary network of CEOs with a shared objective of achieving a better gender balance within the automotive industry.
School Outreach Programme
Through our outreach programme, we partner with schools in our local communities to inspire younger generations to consider a career within our industry.
Through workshops, presentations, work experience, and tours of our facilities we help students navigate into the world of work, while raising awareness of our industry’s ample opportunities for innovation, creativity, communication, collaboration, customer service, enterprise, and commerce.
