Due to the relocation of our track testing operations to Gamston Airport, we’re looking for an Automotive Technician to join our Engineering Operations team on a full time, permanent basis.
An industry leader in the field of automotive research, our active safety testing activities play a high profile and crucial role in driving safety improvements across the European automotive industry. We deliver high quality Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) testing for vehicle manufactures and the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP), helping to improve road user safety and reduce accidents.
Join us as an Automotive Technician and you’ll support the day to day operations of our track testing operations. You’ll work alongside a variety of vehicle manufacturers on a range of new vehicles, while also maintaining our own fleet. The role is broad and interesting, and sits within a professional team, testing the most up to date technology found on vehicles.
Your responsibilities as an Automotive Technician will involve:
- Preparation of test vehicles
- Taking part in testing activities
- Installation and removal of driving robots
- Operating and maintaining test equipment
- Maintaining vehicles
- Facilities maintenance
- Parts ordering
- Supporting and working with suppliers and customers
Your skills and experience as an Automotive Technician will include:
- Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience within Automotive/Mechanical engineering
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Full, clean, UK driving license (preferably with CAT C and C+E although this is not essential)

Location: Gamston, North Nottinghamshire
Working hours: You will work on a 2 week rota consisting of 8 x 8.5 hour shifts and 1 x 5.5 hour shifts. Working hours will include daytime, some evening and occasional night work.
