Here at Thatcham Research we are looking for a talented IT Project Engineer to join us on a full time, permanent basis.

Previous experience working on various IT projects is a must however, due to the diverse nature of projects, we will be pleased to consider candidates from a range of backgrounds, who have expert knowledge in one of the following disciplines; DevOps, Cloud Computing, RedHat based Linux distributions, Windows Server, VMware and Configuration Management Tools e.g. Ansible

As an IT Project Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Leading and managing technical projects from scope to implementation
  • Providing and maintaining clear system / service documentation
  • Updating and securing Thatcham’s intellectual property, including customer and member data
  • Managing change control, including SLAs, risk and information security
  • Providing knowledge and support to the technical support team where required

As an IT Project Engineer your skills and experience will include:

  • Experience working within an IT department supporting services / systems like; RedHat based Linux distributions, Windows Server, SANs, Cloud Computing
  • Experience of managing and delivering IT projects, including achieving any service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud applications
  • Experience in complex software implementations, automation and deployments

Location: Thatcham, Berkshire

Salary: Circa £39,000, dependent on skills and experience + competitive benefits package
