Thatcham Research has unveiled a new Electric Vehicle Blueprint setting out eight practical requirements to help prevent repairable EVs being written off due to costly battery replacements.

By enabling safe, economical battery repair instead of replacement, the framework aims to keep more EVs on the road, reduce total losses and support more affordable insurance as electrification accelerates.
