INTENDED FOR Personnel who have little or no experience of paint or refinishing techniques.
OBJECTIVES To bring the delegates to a level of competence and confidence that will allow them to play a useful part in the work of a modern paint shop. The course includes a large amount of practical work with access to all the leading paint manufacturers? mixing schemes.

BP27 PAINT PREPARATION TECHNIQUES
DURATION 2 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Paint shop personnel with limited knowledge in the preparation of vehicles for refinishing work.
OBJECTIVES To provide an effective foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in preparing vehicles for refinishing and top coat application. The course includes a large amount of practical work.

BP29 PAINT REFINISHING METHODS

INTENDED FOR Experienced paint shop personnel.
OBJECTIVES To provide delegates with hands-on experience of Thatcham refinishing methods and the use of advanced colour coats. This is largely a practical course to update the more experienced painter in methods and techniques of paint refinishing with access to all the leading paint manufacturers? mixing schemes.

B34 PLASTIC REPAIR & REFINISHING
DURATION 2 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Body/Trim/Paint Technicians, who have limited experience in repair and refinishing techniques and their application to modern vehicle plastics.
OBJECTIVES To demonstrate the advantages of repairing and refinishing plastic components, thus maintaining a high standard of cost effective accident damage repair. Practical involvement and full participation by all personnel will be required to ensure the overall success of this course.

TA21T ATA PAINT SENIOR TECHNICIAN PREPARATION

INTENDED FOR This course/ coaching session has been developed for senior technicians who don’t require full training but would benefit from update and additional knowledge about certain elements of the senior paint tech ATA.
OBJECTIVES To update and discuss what standards and knowledge is required for successful completion of a senior paint ATA
NOTE This is not an in depth training course but is intended to refine the skills and update what is required for completion of repairs/ procedures to Manufacturers/ Thatcham standards and meeting the ATA criteria.

TA2R ATA PAINT RETAKES
DURATION 1 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Delegates that have been referred after taking either the ATA Paint Technician(TA2) or the ATA Senior Paint Technician (TA21)
OBJECTIVES To complete the Paint Technician and Senior Paint Technician ATA Accreditation
NOTE We have designed this particular session for any candidates that have been on an ATA and referred. However it is only available for candidates who have been referred on one or two practical elements.

If a candidate has been referred on three or more practical elements, they will be required to resit a whole new assessment from scratch and would therefore need to apply to attend the TA4P sessions.

To ensure currency of assessments the IMI have stated that no more that 12 months may elapse between the first assessment and the last successful assessment. Therefore once the 12 month period has expired, a delegate will be required to commence all elements of their chosen assessment from the beginning.

The price of this assessment will vary depending on the elements that the individual delegate needs to retake. Please discuss the price with our ATA team on 01635 294851

TA-IT ATA TASK INTENSIVE TRAINING
DURATION 0.5 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Delegates who have been referred after taking either the ATA Technician Accreditation or the ATA Senior Technician Accreditation
OBJECTIVES To undertake intensive training in the task/s relating to the referral items in their particular discipline for the ATA Accreditation
NOTE We have designed this particular session for any delegates that have undertaken an ATA and have been referred. However, it is only available for delegates who have been referred on one or two elements.

The cost of this intensive training will be charged at £195 + vat per delegate.

Once the delegate has attended the intensive training, they will be able to undertake a retake for those referred tasks in their chosen discipline.

The price of a partial retake will vary depending on the particular elements on which the individual delegate has been referred.

If a delegate has been referred on three or more practical elements, it is highly recommended that the delegate attends the Preparation course designed for their relevant discipline, prior to a full retake of their particular assessment.

The IMI have stated that no more that 12 months may elapse between the first assessment and the last successful assessment. Therefore once the 12 month period has expired, a delegate will be required to commence all elements of their chosen assessment from the beginning.
