INTENDED FOR This course is preparation for Panel technicians who wish to retain their Senior ATA accrediation by following the Assessed Outcome Modules route.
OBJECTIVES To ensure that technicians have the necessary skills and knowledge and are fully prepared before attempting to retain ATA through the Assessed Outcome Modules route.
NOTE When attempting to retain Senior Panel ATA through this Assessed Outcome Modules route, or for the full Senior Panel Assesment, candidates need to have achieved the welding standard for BS 4872 and BS 1140.

This can be achieved via Thatcham's Intensive Welding & Test course.

TA11A ATA SENIOR PANEL TECHNICIAN AOM UPDATE
DURATION 1 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Panel technicians who wish to retain their Senior ATA accrediation by following the Assessed Outcome Modules route.
OBJECTIVES To achieve Senior Panel ATA through the Assessed Outcome Modules route.
NOTE When attempting to retain Senior Panel ATA through this Assessed Outcome Modules route, or for the full Senior Panel Assesment, candidates need to have achieved the welding standard for BS 4872 and BS 1140.

This can be achieved via Thatcham's Intensive Welding & Test course.
CONTENT The following modules must be successfully completed in order to retain Senior Panel ATA through the Assessed Outcome Modules route.
  • AOM-006 M.E.T. Complex
  • AOM-030 Welded Panel/Section MAG/MIG Braze/Bond/Rivet

INTENDED FOR This course is preparation for Panel technicians who are not currently in possession of a Senior ATA and who therefore need to take the full assessment
OBJECTIVES To ensure that technicians have the necessary skills and knowledge and are fully prepared before attempting to achieve full ATA assessment.

TA91T ATA COSMETIC REPAIR SENIOR TECHNICIAN PREPARATION
DURATION 2 day(s)
INTENDED FOR This course/ coaching session has been developed for senior technicians who don’t require full training but would benefit from update and additional knowledge about certain elements of the Cosmetic Repair Senior Panel Technician ATA.
OBJECTIVES To undertake practical refresher training along with relevant underpinning knowledge in preparation for successful completion of the Cosmetic Repair Senior Panel Technician ATA.
NOTE This is not an in depth training course but is intended to refine the skills and update what is required for completion of repairs/ procedures to manufacturers/ Thatcham standards and meeting the ATA criteria.

To ensure currency of assessments the IMI have stated that no more that 12 months may elapse between the first assessment and the last successful assessment. Therefore once the 12 month period has expired, a delegate will be required to commence all elements of their chosen assessment from the beginning.

CONTENT 1) 3 stage Pearlescent (panel preparation & fade out)
2) Plastic repair of a cosmetic panel (application of foundation materials)
3) Cold filler repair
4) Primer – application, drying & flatting
5) Surface preparation (new panel)
6) Aluminium cosmetic panel (minor)
7) Panel damage rectification (using workshop equipment pin pull)
8) Mechanical Electrical &Trim (remove/replace/refit)
9) Visual vehicle appraisal

TA91 ATA COSMETIC REPAIR SENIOR TECHNICIAN
DURATION 2 day(s)
INTENDED FOR Bodyshop technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors and anyone required to carry out and understand cosmetic panel repair.
OBJECTIVES To achieve the Cosmetic ATA at Senior Technician level

To ensure currency of assessments the IMI have stated that no more that 12 months may elapse between the first assessment and the last successful assessment. Therefore once the 12 month period has expired, a delegate will be required to commence all elements of their chosen assessment from the beginning.
