Thatcham Times System (TTS)The Thatcham Time System (TTS) is a comprehensive database for use in estimating accident damage. It contains times for replacing parts and panels, and is the only times system available that also incorporates the repair method.TTS, launched in 1995, is recognised as a standard by insurers and repairers, industry-wide and allows negotiations to be concluded promptly and fairly. TTS times are recognised for their transparency and auditability. We can trace any TTS time and check its accuracy at any time, on any vehicle. The system creates times by computer analysis —
A list of TTS based estimating systems is available here. 'What's in it for you? A definitive guide to the use of Thatcham times' is available to download. This book shows in depth what operation, activity or process is included in each Thatcham repair time and those not included. |
Thatcham Parts System (TPS)The Thatcham Parts System (TPS) is a comprehensive vehicle parts price database. TPS utilises manufacturers' part numbers and up-to-date retail parts prices, whilst applying Thatcham's generic part descriptions to allow ease of part identification for the end user. Where applicable, the data from the Thatcham Time System (TTS) is imported and linked to manufacturers' part numbers and prices to provide a complete dataset ready for implementation within an estimating system. When parts price changes and supersessions are received, these are automatically tracked and maintained by TPS, enabling trends to be monitored or a price history to be generated. For information on TTS and TPS datasets, please email sales@thatcham.org.
