Quality

Thatcham are registered to BS EN ISO 9001:2000. The Centre achieved this recognition in October 2004 after a focused programme, which brought together and rationalised existing management good practice procedures which form the foundation of the diverse research carried out by the Centre’s engineers, vehicle technology experts and IT specialists.

Thatcham are recognised as an originator of quality standards for the crash repair industry, and therefore must ensure best practice in management and quality processes throughout our activities.

Implementing and maintaining an externally verified quality management system has enabled us to deliver a measurable improvement in efficiency across all functions.

Environmental

Thatcham are registered to BS EN ISO 14001:2004. The Centre achieved this recognition in December 2005. Our Environmental Management System provides us with the tools and focus consistently to assess, monitor and control our impact on the environment.

By optimising our recycling methods and our energy management processes, and by ensuring we are fully compliant with applicable legislation and regulation, we have created a more effective and efficient environment for our staff to carry out research and training activities and for our stakeholders, customers and delegates.

Investors In People

Based around four key principles of people development, Investors In People is the National Standard which sets a level of good practice for the training and development of staff to achieve organisational goals and objectives. In achieving the IIP standard, Thatcham have embraced this commitment to training and development and have accepted an obligation to ensure the future training needs of staff are constantly evaluated to help build on business success.
