The New Vehicle Security Ratings offer comprehensive, objective information direct to you the motorist, rating new LCVs available in the UK on two scales of 1-5 stars (theft of and theft from) to compare the security of different makes and models.
However, some LCVs will be more attractive to thieves than others, whilst the biggest factor is always opportunity. Any LCV is at risk while parked, if security measures are not used, or if valuables are left on display inside. A star rating provides no guarantee that a LCV will not be stolen or broken into. However, the higher the rating, the less likely this should be. |
