Forward thinkers, influencers and future talent are set to join Thatcham Research and automotive industry experts on the 6th June to experience the ‘Bodyshop of the Future’.  The event will focus on Repair, Skills and Leadership of the future within the Repair Industry. 

Repair of the future:

This year we are extending the exhibition into our Repair Technology Centre where we will be showcasing our Bodyshop of the Future.  The exhibition will display equipment and repair techniques impacted by new technologies, and how we are proactively preparing the Repair Industry for the affects that evolving technologies have today and in the future.

Visitors will see first-hand the practical repair challenges presented by modern vehicles, including mixed materials, power-trains and safety technology. Thatcham experts will also be on hand in a live working environment to show how a unique and innovative new approach is now enabling the production of Thatcham’s world renowned repair methods.

Skills of the future:

Skills of the future will highlight the support that Thatcham Research provides to the industry.  Thatcham is an active member of a Trailblazer group, supporting the development of apprenticeship standards fit for the existing and future needs of the industry.

Visitors will experience Thatcham Research’s Automotive Academy where we provide highly regarded and recognised training opportunities, from Apprenticeship through to advanced technical training,  in a unique environment and the only training provider in the UK benefitting from a world renowned Repair Technology Centre.

Leadership of the future:

With attention firmly on future trends, challenges and opportunities, Leadership of the future will provide the crash repair industry with the knowledge and insight to shape their own business models through a highly technical future.  This will assist to develop wider industry strategies, whilst supporting Bodyshop Managers to enhance their skill sets and begin succession planning providing efficiency and reducing costs.

We will also be running workshops and seminars throughout the day as well as hosting the annual ABP (Auto Body Professionals) Club National Meeting for members, which will take place adjacent to the main exhibition area, attended by many of the top UK repairers.

Repair Focus will be supported by some of the industry’s most forward looking solutions providers with up to 20 exhibitors attending the event.
